  • Haleem masala (can be found in stores or made by blending coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and other spices): 2 tablespoons
  • Turmeric powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Chili powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Cloves, cinnamon stick, and cardamom pods: 2-3 each
  • Ghee (clarified butter): 3 tablespoons
  • Salt: to taste
  • Water: as needed (about 4-6 cups)
  • Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon (for garnishing)
  • Fried onions and slivers of ginger (for garnishing)

Instructions:

1. Prep the Ingredients:

Start by washing the lentils and broken wheat thoroughly. Soak them for about 30 minutes to an hour to make them cook faster. Keep the meat ready, either chopped into small pieces (for mutton) or shredded (for chicken).

2. Cook the Meat:
